Five days to go

webinbjudning While some sculptures are getting their final love, others still have some harsh treatment ahead of them. Tomorrow I will do all of the burning that is left and start to take the pictures needed to tell the story. Hope to see you all soon and I truly hope you all will experience something […]

First ones out of the second burning

So finally it was time to find out what they wanted to look like. When working in raku you only get that much say. The elements are really at work. So go with the flow. I did loose the head on one Sigurd sculpt and the green glaze I had doesn’t appeal to me but […]

Two weeks to go

So I had a bit of a set back when first the kids got ill and then digital work demanded a week of production time. But, I got to work with the great artist Mikael Pauli and his interior design for one of the new subway stations in Stockholm. This was a fantastic experience and as always great to work […]

First burning done

After quite a few hours in the furnace the first batch is now out in the cold again. Picture update later today.

Not today anymore is it?

So it’s after midnight. And i actually thought I’d make it today 🙂 Long day with meetings in Stockholm. Last days of production as the sculpts need to dry before burning I can’t go on creating new pieces until the very end. Horses are great creatures and make good practise. Here is tonight’s sculpt. Need […]

Sigurd Fafnesbane and other virtual heroes

This is the name of the exhibition. Well I feel that the word “other” craves more than the two fan art pieces that you can see in earlier post. Actually the whole fan art part sprung from the idea that I as a illustrator have to be able to communicate art also to those who […]

Time for a update

I’ve been away for a few days. When kids get sick you can’t expect to be as productive as you’d like. Good thing weekend came and saved me. I’ll probably go for a exhibition title like “Sigurd Fafnesbane and other virtual heroes” There will be a sketch for the poster coming up in a day […]

Ravens

Time for the birds sitting in the tree behind Sigurd having a debate regarding the outcome of the event being played out before them. I was glad that I held back on the scales for the last dragon. Birds however do have a lot of feathers. And I really liked the way they came out. […]

Sculpt dump

Even if I don’t update every day doesn’t mean I don’t work. So here is the first and hopefully not last sculpt dump. Finished the big sculpt of Sigurd licking his fingers after burning them on the barbecue heart of Fafner. Getting the dragons blood into his mouth enables him to understand the song […]

utters last moments in this life

Well there he is. Utter, sunbathing to his hearts content. Head turned away and can’t be seen from this angle. Well I can’t show you everything else you won’t show up in person 🙂 Hard to find the time to sculpt during the weekend when sun is shining and the ice is perfect for […]
